RDF Gasifier Power Plant 200-1 MW

SANKYO ASIA also success with the RDF technology and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management is one of the main environmental problems in Thailand and all around the world. Waste separation and collection by municipality are the main management. However, there are still non-waste separation and landfill operation problems. Day by day, quantities of MSW are more and more because high population quantity and daily life-style change cause high its volume especially in towns and large communities. Besides, components and characteristics of MSW are changed according to civilization and daily way of life.

Our team has a conceptual idea to solve the mentioned problem be means of garbage transformation under various processes in order to improve physical properties of garbage to be non-fume fuel called Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for electricity generation. Moreover, the generating process has no waste water to natural water sources.

We are aware and concerned about the environment. Then, a RDF Gasification Power Plant technology is researched to meet MSW management problems and zero waste idea. Our team has developed and researched a garbage power plant with refuse derived fuel (RDF) to construct it as a prototype to construct at other communities. We provide clean alternative energy solutions through gasification. Energy contained in waste is economically recoverable. We view MSW as a valuable resource and asset. RDF gasification technology is a proven technology combined in an advanced, safe and environmentally friendly process to dispose of waste materials, recover all the matter and energy  in waste

Our objective

1. Develop RDF Gasifier Power Plant as an effective tool for Municipal Solid Waste management and overflew MSW which is a major environmental problem.

2. To bring non-recycled or non-reuse MSW to produce RDF to be fuel for electricity generating. To recover energy in useless waste according to the conceptual idea of “ZERO Waste”

Fuel Management

Refuse Derived Fuel: RDF is an effective way of waste management by improving MSW to be fuel. RDF is produced by processing MSW to increase, transform and improve the fuel value and density. The processing removes incombustible materials such as dirt, glass, metals, and very wet organics, and it makes RDF more consistent in size with humidity not more than 15 % than raw MSW. RDF can be burned for fuel by itself or cofired with other fuels.

The entire gasification process is conducted inside air tight chambers that prevent the escape of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The particles produced by smashing the non-recyclables and biodegradable components of the waste will then be superheated to transform them into steam of immense heat. The harnessed combustibility will then be compacted to form Refuse Derived Fuel. The use of very high levels of heat is the secret to the efficiency of RDF. RDF can fully replace all other forms of energy. Its aim is to replace those that harm our environment.

Production Process

Gasification technology system is burning in the air inlet controlled combustion chamber which causes incomplete burning and produces fuel gas. The gas will be under a purified process to be gas for gas engine which is on the same shaft of the generator.

Production process starts from burning in Gasifier Furnace. Fluidized Bed/Fixed Bed/Moving Bed combustors will RDF under controlled process of thermo-chemical reaction to convert Hydrocarbon consistent in fuel to be flammable fuel gas with high heating value which will rotate the generator. The electricity generation is a closed cycle and has no gas allow out of the system.

Dedicated RDF combustors include heat recovery systems and pollution controls. Fluidized bed combustors are designed to burn RDF. Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures, without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam. The resulting gas mixture is called syngas (from synthesis gas or synthetic gas) or producer gas and is itself a fuel.

Community Friendly

  • To lessen residual waste causing pollution

  • To buy recycle material in a high price from community

  • To employ local staff and workers to disperse income

  • Community will get benefits from property and land tax.

Environment friendly

  • To control and lessen noise level of generator which is installed in a noise absorbing structure

  • No fume from electricity generation

  • No waste water to natural water sources
